Anne K Julian is a behavioral scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) specializing in the promotion of cancer risk reduction behaviors, survey measurement and mixed methods study design and implementation.  Her additional areas of expertise include social media analyses, aging science, skin cancer prevention and cancer prevention across the lifespan.  Before joining CDC, Dr. Julian completed a master’s degree in psychology at San Diego State University, a doctorate in public health at Oregon State University and a postdoctoral Cancer Prevention Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute.  Her previous research focused on UV exposure and protection behaviors, survey measurement and consumer use and perceptions of sunscreen products.
